Carol and my favorite ride would probably have to be the south west, where we visited the mountains around Taos New Mexico, and went to southern Utah, and Northern Arizona.
One of our favorite rides is around Long Lake New York, which is a very pristine lake in the upstate NY area. The roads are GREAT, and the scenery is pretty kewl also.

One of Audrey and my favorite motorcycle rides is Rt. 119 between Cross Village and Petoskey. This road is often written up in various cycle magazines as one of the 10 best in the USA. The road is narrow and twisty, with beautiful views of Lake Michigan. If you are pulling a trailer, you can see it as you go around the many switchbacks turns! This road is worth the trip. Try it!

Four Covered bridges in Western Michigan. I have the routes and history of each bridge available. The ride is about 260 miles long and is an one day trip. Very interesting. Contact me and I will e-mail the route.

Start in Houghton. US41 north across lift bridge (caution - grating). Stay on 41 thru downtown Hancock. Left on M-203, follow 203 north to Calumet. Get off bike, walk through town and sightsee. Get back on 41 north, then left on M-26 at Phoenix. Follow 26 thru Eagle River & Eagle Harbor. Take the right-hand fork in the road to follow Brockway Mtn. Drive. Stop at pull offs and gawk. Rejoin 26, go into Copper Harbor. Get off bike, walk through town and sightsee/eat/buy stuff. Follow 41 north to Ft. Wilkins state park. Go in, and check out the old fort. Follow 41 north for about another mile, literally to the end of the road. There's a dirt road that leads off to Keweenaw Point, but that's a job for a dual-sport bike or a jeep. Loop back south, then follow 41 south (or double back down 26 - you can't go wrong either way). You can follow 41 back into Houghton/Hancock, or turn left at the sign for Lac LaBelle, and follow county roads back thru Gay (stop at the Gay Bar) out to Lake Linden. From there, M-26 takes you back to Houghton/Hancock. Good camping at McLain and Ft. Wilkins state parks, and Hancock has a good city campground. Trust me (tm).

Riding alone the Grand Traverse Bay from Acme up to the Old Mission Lighthouse on back roads that take you literally along the shore line of both east and west bay. Then after the ride up to the lighthouse and back, continue along west bay up to Northport and to that lighthouse along M-22. When you are done seeing this lighthouse then you head back down M-22 towards Leland to check out the old fish town. Continuing down M22 on the Lake Michigan side all the way down to Onekama. There is a scenic road side turn-off that is to die for. "overlooking the Arcadia Point' You will have the sensations of flight when crest over the hill and see this expansive view. When you get tired of the view you will shortly arrive in Onekama and there you can take a side road (eight mile Rd) back to US 31 just south of Bear Lake. This is a serious ride. Not one for the softer tush. It will be better part of the day for this one. But you have plenty of stops you can make. Most noticeable is the original A&W in Frankfort.

Our Favorite Ride Me and Nanette Went With Chapter "A" on a color tour.(2005) We went to Traverse city mi, to see the colors. Well, there was not many colors besides green. But we got a chance to see my sister that lives there. She found chapter "A" a good restaurant to eat that night. The next day, we set out for sleeping bear dunes. Which was fantastic. Chapter "A" drove the scenic route along lake Michigan south towards home, on a two lane road. At one point we got up on top of hill and you looked down, And all you can see was water at the bottom. Our famous (Bam Bam) Dennis McAllister was in back of us yelled out on the CB radio WERE GOING IN!!!!.And everybody in the group just laughed. Beautiful scenes that ride. Would not have been as great if not for the people that we were with.

2006 Wing Ding - we rented a cabin with our fellow members of G2 in Pigeon Forge for a week after the Wing Ding. Boy was the Smokey Mountains the most beautiful ride we have been on yet. We hope to have many more adventures.
