Rider Education is a very important part of GWRRA. This aspect of our Association has the potential to save each of our lives by enhancing our motorcycling skills. Good riding techniques apply whether riding alone, going on a dinner run with chapter colleagues (Team Riding), or participating in any other kind of group ride.
This section is dedicated to helping you achieve the safest and best riding experiences possible and to saving you from embarrassing mistakes such as the upside down helmet at the right actually seen on a rider! The links below will take you to key tips and articles on safe riding techniques, recommended elements of team riding, and safety related maintenance and care tips. Also see the Practical Tips link to the left for helpful ideas on adding options to your bike and other useful ideas. The Chapter also has a number of very excellent video tapes covering Touring, braking, trailering, and co-rider skills. Ask the CD about borrowing these to improve your riding skills. We wish you Safe Riding! Note: This Team Riding manual was designed to be printed and assembled into booklet form. Because of this, you may find it difficult to follow when you read it directly in your Adobe reader. If you don't choose to print it, each page is numbered to help you read the pages in proper sequence. The finished product can be printed double-sided on 4 sheets of paper. Booklet size is 8½" x 5½". |
