       Although the weather was not as perfect as it has been during past D2’sFun Run to Hell and Back, the threat of rain did not keep riders from attending. Unfortunately, Chapter Director, Dale, was under the weather and unable to attend. We all missed his usual cheerful, friendly smile. There were many chapters represented at this year’s event: A2, A, B2, E, H, J, P, W2, W, and V. It was great to see all these great people. Some of the contest winners were Ray McAllister (E), who was the oldest male rider in attendance at the age of 68, Annette Naugle (W) the oldest female rider in attendance at the age of (not telling!). Pete Kinner (P) won youngest rider at the age of 42 and his co-rider Jessica won for youngest female, 9 years old. Crystal Jacobs, age 10, just missed out on the youngest rider award, but took home $50 from the 50/50 raffle. There were also winners for the poker draw, Chapter furthest traveled, and more.

Julian and Mary Jo Meade working  in Hell during D2 Fun Run. A couple of “quack” ups. 

       The ride was the usual route through the scenic roads starting from Howell and stopping for a break in Hell. Some riders indulged in the sinfully tasteful ice cream at Screamers Ice Cream Parlor and Gift Shop. The riders met back at the starting point and enjoyed food, fun, and the camaraderie that comes along with being a rider.

       Thanks goes to the D2 members who helped out with the set up, clean up, raffle ticket sales, serving food, taking pictures, hanging out in Hell to pass out raffle tickets, bringing door prizes, and showing up to support the chapter.
