Well the Fun Run for 2010 is in the books & even though Mother Nature tried to put a damper on things, our fellow wingers came out in the true GWRRA spirit. We had riders from eight chapters come out to the event. They were from Chapter’s A2, E, H, H2, J, V, W and W2. We truly thank them for coming out on a less than perfect day. We did however have a small mishap; our beloved duck has been Duck-napped by those scoundrels at Chapter W, so we need to be prepared to go to his rescue, (Hope you can make the ride). With the coming of the new month brings a New Staging Area for our Ice Cream Rides. C & C Power Sports in Brighton has invited us to stage in their Parking Lot. And for those of you that didn’t know they also donated some items to the Fun Run. Let’s see if we can have great turnout’s there not that we don’t now but, as the saying goes “The more, the merrier”. We are looking forward to a great time at this year’s Michigan Rally in West Branch as it is always a GREAT time. We hope you can all make it. It always puts a smile on your face to see a large group of D2 members in a group at an event. On June 13th Mike & Nancy Hrigora, Jay Singer, Hilda Marlow, Pam and I rode to Hickory Corners for the Vintage Bike Show. Boy the memories came rolling back as I walk past a lot of model’s I have owned including my first bike - a 1965 150 Honda Dream. I couldn’t help wondering how I rode that thing in the dirt yes curved fenders and all. If you enjoy looking at old cars may we suggest you take a day and ride out to The Gilmore Museum in Hickory Corners. They have some fantastic cars and it’s a beautiful ride out and back. If you would like the route we took let Pam or I know and we’ll print it out for you. FYI, it was a 250 mile ride. The next Chapter Ride will be to the Yoder Popcorn Shoppe in Topeka, IN. Pam and I will not be able to make this one as we will be out of town, but if you can make it we’re sure you’ll have a great time. In closing we would like to remind you to try to take in some of the GREAT times at the other chapters. You won’t find any friendlier people then your fellow members of GWRRA!
