Text Box: Riding Season is finally here
June has arrived. It seems like May was never going to end, as I sit here to write this article we are getting a storm and there is golf ball size hail on the back porch. Go figure Michigan weather. As we enter June we are starting to enter our start of the best riding in the country. All the potholes are gone (hopefully) and the season of orange barrels start.

This month we are going to look at a few things we should pay attention to while we are riding. First and foremost lets all make sure we have proper riding apparel on as we want to be comfortable. We will have to look out for things that we are not accustomed to seeing. With June comes no more school busses which means now we have to look out for kids. One thing with kids and we all were one at one time. They are all out there to have fun all the time no matter what goes on. This means we have to watch out for them coming into the streets running, on bicycles and playing ball. We also have to watch out for all those toys that seem to make it out to the road just as we go by. Last but not least we still have to look out for all those pets that come running out to the road just to bite our shoes. Please be careful of all the kids. One of the other items we have to pay attention to are all the construction vehicles, whether they are hauling cement or dirt. We do not want to get to close as we may get sandblasted and not even know it till it hits our windshields. We all know that the truckers have to have their beds covered but that doesn’t mean something might fall off. Be careful of the things we cannot control.

Text Box: Last item to look out for is those drivers that do not know how to read, What I mean and I see it every day are those construction zones where we go down to one lane, Merge right or lane closes in two miles. It seems that there are those that do not want to get over till the very last minute. Slow down and let them in because they will do their best to cut you off to get in.

Have a good month and ride Safe.
Remember safety is for life
