Chapter Directors

Text Box: Hi Chapter F — Dear chapter F First Linda would like to say a big Thank You to the people that has called and sent cards. Thank you to Bill and Trudy for visiting her and the beautiful flowers. There’s great! It means a lot to her. We would like to say Thank You to Larry and Sandy Burgin for stepping up to be your next Assistant Chapter Directors. Larry and Sandy were doing some photo work for Linda and we talked about different things happening in the chapter. Larry said that if you belong to any organization or association you should by willing to support it. Well, he is now going to help your chapter by stepping up. Now all we have to do is get him to take the oath of office. I did leave a message for Tom Rushman requesting to have Larry and Sandy take the oath as soon as possible. I will be hearing from Tom after he takes his oath of office at the Region D Rally. He’s not able to do anything till then. So when you see this great couple, congratulate them for their effort and support! They have and want what best for chapter “ F “ in mind and they will do an outstanding job! We have a few things that will be happening in the near future. We are set for the Richmond Good Old Days Parade. Larry Burgin talked to the automotive dealership in Richmond and they will let us use their used car parking lot again this year. This is the same one we have used in past years, next to the restaurant. Thank you Larry for doing the needed coordination. We have a chapter appreciation picnic September 6 at the East Chine Township park (see flyer on page ? Of this newsletter or the email sent to the chapter membership). It would be great if all chapter members would attend. Then in October we have our annual Hoedown at the usual place,

Text Box: the Perch Point Conservation Club. We have the steaks ordered and every thing is falling nicely into place. Remember, only 200 stakes so get your tickets early! Looks like it will be a GREAT TIME again this year! There is a over night ride to Shipshewana, Indiana on the 12th and 13th of September, this should be a great ride and a good time for the participants. Our thanks to Mike Sturdevant for planning this trip. In late September (27th and 28th) we’ll be having our annual fall color tour to Ludington More information to follow at the monthly Gathering.. Now that Summer is slowly coming to a close it’s time for many other chapters to begin getting ready for their Anniversary Party’s. If your interested in going to any of these parties, please take a look at the dates so proper planning can take place. They’ve always come to support us at our Hoedown, so lets support their party efforts. By doing so, you’ll make some new friends for life. I know that Linda and I have met and made many friends as we go these party’s. Thomas & Linda Owens, Chapter Directors Editor note: As every one knows Linda has been in the hospital undergoing hip surgery. Linda was released to return home Friday afternoon (29 August). She is recovering quickly but will be under going some physical therapy for the next couple of months.
