Dan is a native Michigander, born in Grand Rapids then raised in Rockford.  I am an Okie, but not from Muskogee.  I was born and raised in Oklahoma City.  I moved to Greenville, Mi. in 1987 and met Dan in 1992.  We were married in 1994 in Oklahoma City.  Between us we have 7 children scattered about the United States and three grandchildren.

 

We had both ridden motorcycles when we were younger but had not ridden for years when we came back to Michigan.  A couple of Dan’s childhood friends (Al Pierson and Chris Persinger) looked him up and they renewed their friendship.  Dan was feeling the “itch” and they were encouraging it!  Then one evening we were “going to dinner” with the Piersons and just happened to go by Larry & Janet Roberts’ and sure enough he had that beautiful “Taz” Gold Wing for sale!

 

Yep!  We bought it and dove head-first into G.W.R.R.A. Chapter G-2.  Our first duties were as greeters at the annual Chicken Run.  Then we moved on to Member Enhancement Directors and are now Assistant Chapter Directors under Al & Nancy Pierson.

 

We have made so many new friends already!  We can’t wait to see what the future holds.  We are honored and privileged to have been chosen Chapter G-2’s Couple of the Year.  We hope to make you proud as we represent you all at different events and Wingless Weekend.
