Chapter History

In May of 1992 a few people who had belonged to Chapter M decided to form their own Chapter, because of the long distance we had to travel to go to chapter meetings, ice cream runs, and of course the ever popular potlucks.  

Because it was the second chapter to be formed in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we wanted to be Chapter M2. After much paperwork, our Chapter was created. Bob and Mary Kerns were the "Area Reps" and John and Sandy Ketcher were the  " Assistant Area Reps" now known as Chapter Directors and Assistant Chapter Directors.  

Our Chapter charter members were: (to the best of our knowledge) Fred and Barb Rocque, J.R. and Rachel Harris, Gordon and Maxine Holmberg, Terry and Ruth Jones, Bruce and Carol Dodson, Keith Butkovich, Darin and Rose Butkovich, Darwin and Sherri Butkovich, Dave Beaudoin and Joe Klinzing.  Our kick-off was held at Pizza Pronto in Naubinway with many chapters present to help us.  With many changes in our lives, many new members have joined and many members have passed away.

Our  Chapter Directors as of writing this are Ed and Deb Lancour and our Assistant Chapter Directors are Mike and Terry Lavigne. We still enjoy the friendship, knowledge and fun we have with Chapter M. 

As of December 2007 Dave and Laurie Tennyson are our chapter directors and Ed and Deb Lancour are our Assistant Chapter Directors.
