They may see the good you do as self serving. Continue to do good.

They may see your generosity as grandstanding.  Continue to be generous.

They may see your warm and caring nature as a weakness.

Continue to be warm and caring.

For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.

It never was between you and them anyway.

Terri and I would like to step down as being your Chapter Directors at some point in the future.  As much as Terri’s health can improve, we would like to again enjoy the freedom of the road with all of you while continuing to give to our organization at a different level.

The grand traditions of Chapter “N” need to continue.  Our assistance with the “MIDNIGHT RIDE” has helped Chapter “G” in continuing their great cause for many years.  Our help with civic activities over the years has included Every Woman’s Place, teddy bears for our local pediatrics department, help with grieving children, parades, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and many other things that individual members have contributed to the area.  Participating with other Chapters helps everyone and our continuous role in riding safely and promoting rider safety helps all of us.

We are looking forward to seeing some new faces on the Chapter staff. Don’t be afraid to volunteer, there are many hands and years of experience to help with all that needs to be done.  It doesn’t have to be the same couples that do everything.  Together we can do this.  We would appreciate ideas from YOU on where you want your Chapter to go.  Come to meetings with an open mind and please leave your crosses to bear elsewhere.  Together we will keep Chapter “N” viable and FUN.  Remember, we started “THE FUN STARTS HERE”.  Let’s keep the FUN alive.

On a personal note, we appreciate more than you’ll ever know the cards and phone calls during Terri’s illness.  Unfortunately, she’s not out of the woods yet; some new problems have occurred.  Many wonderful GWRRA friends, both in and outside of our Chapter have contacted us and it means so much to us both.  It’s special friends like you that help keep us positive and upbeat and we give thanks for you all in our prayers.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours!
