Chapter Directors Lloyd & Diana Bartlett	Welcome to the "Bay Area Wings" website. Our gathering facility during riding season (April - October) will be Mabel's Restaurant, located at 472 Munson Ave. (U.S. 31), Traverse City, MI on the last Tuesday of each month at 6 pm. We will be meeting at the same location and time on the third Saturday of the month for our all day rides. We are located in Traverse City, MI and we're known as Chapter O2 of the Michigan District of the GWRRA. We live in one of the best tourist hotspots in Michigan. There are many things to do including the annual "National Cherry Festival" held in our area during mid summer. During this time is the only Michigan appearance of the "Navy Blue Angels". Flying their F-18 Hornets, it is a spectacular show. Our main Chapter summer event is our annual "Anniversary Dinner and Campout". Check the "District Event Page" to get the dates for this year's event. While you're up here you will want to check out some of the most scenic riding in the State. Ian Holmes, Former District Director, said it best on the Favorite Rides Section on our District Web Site stating, "One of Audrey and my favorite motorcycle rides is Rt. 119 between Cross Village and Petoskey. This road is often written up in various cycle magazines as one of the 10 best in the USA. The road is narrow and twisty, with beautiful views of Lake Michigan. If you are pulling a trailer, you can see it as you go around the many switchbacks turns! This road is worth the trip. Try it!" We put together a "Map of Rt. 119" to show you the route that Ian is referring to. So come on over and join us in a ride through this beautiful area we live in.
