Our Chapter History

The Chapter was started August 14, 1994 with the ‘kick off’ party at the Cadillac fair grounds with 328 persons in attendance from a variety of Michigan Gold Wing chapters.

Our first Chapter Directors were Mike and Brenda Crosby who was then followed by Tom and Carol Small, Ron and Ellen Erikson, Bob and Marilyn Saul, Jack and Diana Senyk, Mike Whitney.       Dennis and Joann Benninger are the current Chapter Directors.

Some of the charities we have sponsored were the Salvation Army, Oasis, Good Will,  Wexford County Humane society, Sheppard’s Table, Love Inc. Manton Senior Center, A.C. Paws, AMA [American Motorcycle Ass’n] and in previous years the Chapter has adopted families for the holidays.

Some of the longer trips our chapter has made were to Door Peninsula, Wisconsin and Americade at Lake George New York.

We do many day rides that are often brown bag dinners, mystery rides, potluck’s or brown bag’s at each other’s homes, many of our member’s like this concept over always going to restaurant’s, this gives us a chance for undisturbed gab sessions.

We enjoy going to the District Rallies as a chapter, having fun riding, and meeting new friends along the way. Our group has an annual chili dump in the fall and boiled dinner in the spring.  We are looking forward to another fun filled riding season.
