Our Chapter History
S2 was chartered on Saturday, May 17, 1997 at "Belle Isle Park" in Detroit Michigan. Charles "Chuck" Holmes and Clint and Joyce Knox assumed the roles of Chapter Director and Assistant Chapter Directors respectively. These positions were held for two years.
In 1999 Clint and Joyce Knox and Nate and Jan Grier took over as Chapter Directors and Assistant Chapter Directors.
In 2000 Preston Martin temporarily stepped-up and assumed the role as Chapter Director for one year. Once again in 2001 Clint and Joyce Knox reassumed the Chapter Director and held it for two years.
In 2003 Clint and Joyce Knox were awarded Senior Chapter Director status by GWRRA. Nate and Jan Grier have continued on as Assistant Chapter Directors with Charles "Choo" and "Ms. Mary" Mason also becoming Assistant Chapter Directors.
In May of 2004 Charles "Choo" and "Ms. Mary" Mason became Chapter Directors. Also, Riley and Velma Palmer became Assistant Chapter Directors.
In February 2006 Mason and Ms Mary became Senior Chapter Directors.
