The first meeting was held in October of 1984, at the home of Dick & Judy Skaggs.  A total of 11 people attended the first meeting.  Those people included Dave Heoke, Dick & Judy Skaggs, Lorraine & Gilbert Fett, Bob & Wilma Ferrall, Eugene & Charlene Bellingar, and Gary & Joyce Cressman.  Because of the spirit and hard work of these 11 people, they were able to organize Chapter U and have it put on the GWRRA Region D Charter as of March 20, 1985.  Today the Chapter has approx. 30 active members on our newsletter list, and Bob & Wilma Ferrall are still active members (due to relocation, others are still active members with other Chapters).
