Greetings Well I guess spring is officially here. We saw our first robin in the yard the other day and all of the other Snow-Birds are returning back home. This winter has been good to us left behind. We have had a rather mild winter and a few of us has had our bikes out for a test run or two already. The ice cream shops are opening up so get ready for those ice cream runs….. . |

In regards to the new changes in the state staff, There will be a Officer’s Certification Program (OCP) that is being held the 17th of April, Bob, Ginny, Ted, Rose, and Doug & I will be attending. Hopefully we will be gaining some insite as to what is going on and expected of us as a Chapter in general. We will be keeping everyone informed as we get new information. Like I said at the last gathering, we will continue as we have been doing all along, until instructed to do different, Our Chapter has been growing and are fortunate to have a lot of membership participation from within. We want to continue to have fun and enjoy our riding by planning events you the membership would like to do. And by saying this, if you have any ideas of places you would like to go or see bring them to the April meeting as we will be finalizing our ride schedule for the season. As Bob said, just because we are finalizing our rides doesn’t mean we can’t make adjustments as the season progresses to fit a ride or two in. So far this year we have a couple of new things to try. Just a note of a reminder, don’t forget your mileage and get it turned in to either Bob, Ted or myself by the April meeting. Chapter Y will be participating in a joint campout with Chapter V in Freeland, and J-2 from Clare on Memorial Weekend. We plan on camping in Evart at the River Country Campground. The charge is $18.00 per night per unit. You can put several units on a campsite if room allows and each unit will be paying $18.00 apiece. The number to call for reservation it 231-734-3808 and tell them you are with the GWRRA group. We have our reservations already and are on Site 33. For those who are not campers there are a couple of motels near by. See the attached flyer. Hope to see all of you there also. |
