My wife, Marti, and I just purchased a 2004 Honda Goldwing from Hacker's. They are putting a trike kit on it as we speak. It should be ready any day now. We joined GWRRA and have our membership package as of last week. We were looking to find a local chapter to join when I found your page on the internet. Please send us any information we need. Enjoyed meeting some of you at the breakfast Sunday. We just got our 1995 Goldwing trike home last night. Some of you are probably familiar with our bike (Plum Crazy) Neil's old one. We are looking forward to getting to know all of you and going on a few rides next season. In the meantime we will try to attend some of the dinners and breakfasts to become better acquainted. We received our membership application from Barb Farkas at the breakfast and will be sending it in the first of the month. Love your website and is very impressive. Good work.

Hi everyone, I am from Olathe, Ks and just thought I'd say hi. I come up to Houghton Lake quite a bit (Dad is a retired policeman and moved up there for good around 88)
I am Past President of the BMW Detroit Touring Club (many years ago) and am soon to be Chapter Director of the KS-B club. I switched over to the wing about 4 years ago and am loving every minute of it, I ride a 2002 Blue wing with matching trailer, some of you probably have seen me cruise through one time or another. I keep saying I am going to try and schedual one of my trips when the club is doing something but haven't been able to yet. I never know when I am going to come up and that makes planning something impossible.
I look forward to meeting some of the Houghton Lake group one day and if anyone is in the Kansas City area look me up, we always have something going on also.

You have a nice site. I once belonged to GWRRA (1984-1989) and was the Chapter Director (we called them Area Reps at the time) in Lansing from 1985 to 1987. I left GWRRA at that time to join the Gold Wing Touring Association. I became the first Michigan State Director in that organization, a position I held for 7 years. I continue to belong to GWTA. I have been to all 19 national rallies - Gold Rush as we call it and am planning on going to number 20 in Sioux Fall, SD this summer. Anyway, I remember when Chapter Y was formed. Shortly thereafter, Jack Johnson issued a challenge to the other Michigan chapters to come up and bowl with them that winter. I got a good group from Lansing to come up (we were the only chapter as I recall) and that is where the fun began. I remember doing several things over the next couple of years with Chapter Y. I see Jay and Mary Bolton from time to time as they are GWTA members too. They don't ride anymore and have had a few health issues, but they bring the car and come to GWTA events when their health allows.

Hello Chapter Y, I met a nice guy by the name of Kinney Greer at a Houghton Lake Trailblazer meet late last winter. He asked if I was a bike rider and informed me about your chapter. ( I owned a Yamaha 1100 at that time and was considering a wing.)
Went to your April meeting and had a great time. A week later I joined GWRRA and three weeks later I bought a 2008 Wing.
Was unable to make the May meeting, but I'm looking forward to riding and making new friends.

HI think I seen you people go buy my place on the 8-18-02 on your to port hope mi. I live on atwater rd four miles east of ruth mi on the coner. if it was you people i wave to some of you as you went by. there was a bunch of gold wing & other bikes to. I would like to meet you people . I have a cabin up in grayling and would like to join a groupe of gold winger from the aera to ride with . I have a honda valkyie trike 1999 my wife has a gold wing trike 1800 2003 we both like to ride any were the road takes at the time.
