Past Michigan Chapter J Couple's of the Year

Every year in February the Chapter elects a new “Couple of the Year”. Maybe you know someone who you would like to nominate, or even better you would like to volunteer. It is a “Great Year” filled with meeting new friends, having fun, learning safety techniques, and gaining more knowledge of GWRRA and what it is all about.

2006 Chapter J’s sixteenth “Couple of the Year”, Ken and Rita Moffitt are currently Assistant Chapter J Directors and Special Events Coordinators for Chapter J, they were Michigan District's Couple of the Year for 2007, they were the Region D Couple of the Year for 2008 and they were GWRRA's International Couple of the Year for 2008-2009 and they are currently are Membership Enhancement Coordinators and Goodie Sales for Region D

 

 

 

 

2005 Chapter J’s fifteenth “Couple of the Year”, Dan McClure and Linda Flavin are currently Chapter J's Rider Educators, and have been promoted to Senior Rider Educators. They have served as Assistant Rider Educators for Michigan District Rider Education.

 

 

 

 

2004 Chapter J’s fourteenth “Couple of the Year”, LB and Sandy Hilbert are currently the Chapter J's Public Relations Coordinators, Michigan Wing News Reporters and the Web Site Coordinators.  

 

 

 

 

2003 Chapter J’s thirteenth “Couple of the Year”, Charlie and Peggy Brown served as our Chapter Historian (Brag Book), International Mystery Dinner Coordinator, and one of Chapter "J's" Assistant Chapter Directors. Peggy has served as our Treasurer.

 

 

 

 

2002 Chapter J’s twelfth “Couple of the Year”, Dale and Andrea (Andy) Duncan have served Chapter J as Michigan Wing News Reporter, and are currently the Upcoming Events Coordinator, and Chapter J’s Chapter Directors and secretary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2001 Chapter J’s eleventh “Couple of the Year”, Rich and Cheryl Fetterman have served Chapter “J” as Fun Run Coordinator organizing the Door Prizes, started the Bake Good’s sale for Chapter “J” at Wingless Weekend, have had Chapter “J” ’s Bike Workshop day, Chapter Treasurer, and currently Chapter J’s Photographer and Sunshine Person.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2000 Chapter J’s tenth “Couple of the Year”, Clyde and Kim Holiday have served Chapter “J” as Coordinator of Highway Clean-Up, Posey Planting, Public Relations, Assistant Chapter Directors, and Chapter Directors of J.

 

 

 

 

 

1999 Chapter J’s ninth “Couple of the Year”, Dave and Judy Bycraft have served Chapter J by keeping the Historian (Brag) Book and are former Chapter J’s Assistant Chapter Director.

 

 

 

 

 

1998 Chapter J’s eighth “Couple of the Year”, Jerry (JJ) and Lee Jacobs have served Chapter J as Chapter Educator (Rider Education). They became “Michigan District Couple of the Year 1999”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1997 Chapter J’s seventh "Couple of the Year", Tom and Pat Maynard  became the 1998 "Michigan District COY” and Region D COY in 1999. They served Chapter J as Assistant Chapter Director, Wing News Reporter and served as Michigan District Assistant Directors.

 

 

 

 

1996 Chapter J’s sixth "Couple of the Year", Mel and Mary Swetland have served Chapter J as Public Relations and Sunshine Person. They started Reunions for Chapter J’s COY and put together a scrapbook of the first Ten (10) COY’s. They served as “Michigan District Treasurer”.

 

 

 

 

1995 Chapter J’s fifth “Couple of the Year”, Dave and Carol Boyers have served Chapter J as Public Relations, Goodies, Midnight Ride Coordinator for Chapter J, and Rider Education. They served as “Michigan’s District WEB Coordinator”.

 

 

 

 

1994  Chapter J’s fourth “Couple of the Year”, Mike and Loretta Boulton have served as Chapter J’s Assistant Director and Michigan Wing News Reporter. They served as “Michigan District Assistant Director”. Loretta is currently Chapter Director of Y2 in Zanesville, Ohio.       

 

 

 

 

1993 Chapter J’s third "Couple of the Year", Jim and Diana Hilleary became Michigan's 1993 “District Couple of the Year". They helped start Chapter J (with 5 members) and have held the position of Chapter J Director and Assistant Director.

1992 Chapter J’s second “Couple of the Year”, Louie Schippers and Mary Dodge have served Chapter J as Chapter Historian (Brag Book), Treasurer, Raffle Ticket Coordinator, Newsletter Editor and Membership Coordinator, and has made many quilts for Wingless Weekend. Louie became Recruiter of the Year for Michigan in 2007, 2008.

 

 

 

 

1991 Chapter J’s first "Couple of the Year", Ron and Dianna Miller became Michigan's 1991 "District Couple of the Year". In 1992 they accepted the position of Assistant District Director. In 1995, they accepted the position of "Michigan District Director". They were Chapter J's Senior Chapter Educators. They became our Region D Directors in 2008.
